Bubblegum was created in Indiana during the 1970s and is a nearly 80% indica dominant hybrid. The indica-dominant hybrid bubblegum strain was made by crossing Indiana Bubblegum with a mixed type of marijuana that is currently unidentified. This strain was then taken to Amsterdam in order to clone and hybridize. The name of this strain is said to come from its distinct pink bubble gum smell, which it has been dubbed after. It has won quite a few accolades and has been recognized by ‘High Times Cannabis Cup’ quite a bit.
